HR & Payroll Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
* Payroll Processing:
o Collect, verify, and process employee timesheets.
o Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including deductions and taxes.
o Address employee payroll inquiries and coordinate with finance as needed.
* HR Administration:
o Assist with employee onboarding, including paperwork and training coordination.
o Maintain employee records and update HR databases.
o Manage employee benefits, including health insurance, workers' compensation, and other policies.
o Support time-off tracking and leave management, ensuring compliance with labor laws.
* Safety & Compliance:
o Assist in organizing and documenting safety meetings, ensuring all employees are informed and engaged.
o Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and workplace safety standards.
o Help maintain safety records and assist in safety audits as required.
* General Administration & Bookkeeping (Preferred but not required):
o Support bookkeeping tasks such as tracking HR-related expenses.
o Assist with office administration duties as needed.
Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in HR, payroll, or administrative roles.
* Familiarity with payroll processing and HR policies.
* Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and HR/payroll software is a plus.
* Experience with bookkeeping or accounting tasks is a plus but not required.
